Job Description

Brief Description of Role: We are looking to recruit an experienced litigation assistant /solicitor with experience in multi-track personal injury claims. The successful candidate will assist partners and senior solicitors with a mixed caseload of EL/PL and motor claims as necessary.

Team Information: Our national team services personal injury claims from seven office locations across the UK. The London team is a major force in the local market. We act for well known clients and on some very high profile cases, led by experienced Partners recognised as market leaders in this sector.

We avoid unnecessary lawyering and are focused on working in partnership with our clients to achieve practical and commercial solutions at a realistic cost.

We advise on defendant personal injury claims covering the entire range from 'slip and trip' to catastrophic personal injury (including spinal, brain and multiple injuries, psychiatric injury, amputations, fatal accidents and multiple orthopaedic traumas).

The team currently consists of 8 Partners, 17 Solicitors, 5 Legal Staff, 3 Trainees & 10 Support Staff.

Type of Clients:Large composite Insurers
London Market Insurers
Self-insured companies
EL/PL and motor insurers
Transport operators and contractors

Type of Cases:
All aspects of motor and EL/PL claims up to and assisting on complex and high value personal injury.
Both pre-litigation and litigated files. Promoting early resolution of claims without recourse to litigation including mediation and round table settlement negotiation.

Essential:Good academics.
Desirable UK Qualified Solicitor or CILEX qualified or Paralegal with the relevant experience.
Experience:(Type, length, quality, background)
Essential:1-3 years' experience of multi-track personal injury claims gained in a defendant personal injury law firm.*
Experience of EL/PL and/or motor claims.
Experience of progressing case plans under supervision.
Meeting targets.
We are not able to consider claimant only experience
Desirable:Experience of assisting on catastrophic claims.
Instructing experts and taking witness statements.
