Job Description

Our real estate team of 28 partners and over 40 lawyers takes pride in being able to respond quickly and efficiently to clients, offering practical commercial solutions to complex legal issues. You will work closely with our partner and a senior associate who leads the real estate team in Oxford dealing with development including the development of doctor's surgeries charity property, options and land promotion, landlord and tenant, and secured lending. Clients of the team include Inchcape PLC a major European Bank, Watermark Resorts Limited, major residential developers, Blackwell UK Ltd; Christ Church, Oxford; Magdalen College, Oxford; University College Oxford. Your role will touch on a wide variety of quality work including landlord & tenant issues, secured lending, transactions involving land development, development agreements, funding agreements and options and promotions agreements.

Qualifications required:

-confident and personable
-able to place clients at ease and build rapport
-exposure to good quality work which might include development, landlord & tenant or investment work
-understands the commercial aspects of property transactions
-a team player - willing to support others and be -flexible
-strong academics
-motivated and ambitious
-enjoys getting involved in practice development
-likely to be 2 to 5 years PQE but expertise, attitude and track record are more important
