Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced bilingual (English/Arabic) Senior Associate to join our Banking and Finance practice in our new Bahrain office.

Al Tamimi & Company’s Banking & Finance practice reflects the firm’s position as a leader in the Gulf. The practice advises a number of prominent banks and companies on their finance operations and activities in the UAE and GCC. The practice advises lenders and borrowers on all aspects of structuring, negotiating and documenting finance transactions. We represent local and international banks and financial institutions in both conventional and Islamic transactions.

The Banking and Finance team has extensive experience working for financial institutions in the Middle East region and abroad. All lawyers are fully conversant with all aspects of banking and finance law in the region.

The Banking and Finance practice provides advice in a wide range of areas including banking regulation and supervision, Islamic finance, banking litigation and enforcement, debt and equity capital markets, derivatives, investment funds and structures, ship, aircraft and asset financing, real estate financing, trade and export financing, project finance, securitisation, incorporation and licensing of financial institutions, and Dubai International Financial Centre.

Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will be bilingual (English/Arabic) and have 8-10 years PQE with at least 3 years of local experience within Bahrain. Knowledge of the Central Bank of Bahrain rules is essential. You must have banking and finance expertise in areas such as conventional financing, carrying out due diligence, assisting with financial structuring, and active project finance practice. Bahraini nationals are preferred as is banks/in-house experience.
