The Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Court of Protection team in Sheffield. The Court of Protection is the judicial body in England and Wales responsible for managing the affairs, assets and estates of anyone who does not have capacity to manage their own finances.

The team has a strong reputation in dealing with the full range of Court of Protection services including deputyship services, gifts, Enduring & Lasting Powers of Attorney and replacing deputyships with private trusts. We have dedicated departments located in Newcastle, Sheffield, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds and London that provide a specialist nationwide service. Our team based approach means we work with colleagues to combine legal expertise from financial management, planning, investment, taxation and returns to the Court.

This is a superb opportunity for you to develop your skills and experience within an established and innovative environment. Post-holders can expect to deal with clients, draft documents, progress the litigation process and attend court.

Candidates should be educated to under graduate and/or post graduate legal qualifications e.g.: LLB, Legal Practice Course.

You will be a team player with strong communication skills and an understanding of client care. You will have experience of working in a legal environment and an understanding of office procedures, along with a pro-active approach and the ability to work on your own initiative, managing your time to meet deadlines. The successful candidate will have a professional telephone manner with strong attention to detail and sound IT skills.
