Job Description

Our client, a large and very well established law firm, is looking to recruit a Clinical Negligence Paralegal into their busy team based in Taunton.

This role offers the successful candidate a superb opportunity to join a highly regarded firm with offices located throughout the South West. You will have the chance to progress your career alongside noted experts in their respective fields by making an important contribution to the overall work of the Clinical Negligence/PI Team and supporting the Team Leader with the on-going growth and development of the team activities.

The successful candidate will be expected to:-

• Work with the Team Leader and others within the wider Clinical Negligence/PI team to offer support to the client base as required.
• Carry out research into legislation, case law etc. as required
• Attend and take notes of meetings as well as attend court with counsel
• Draft relevant documentation and provide administrative support to senior fee earners as required.
• Ensure appropriate quality service and compliance for all matters in accordance with agreed standard policies
• Consistently meet all KPI and targets and any other broader objectives as agreed on a quarterly and annual basis as part of the Team plans
• Be a role model for the Foot Anstey Values and encourage the others to do the same

In addition, candidates will also be required to demonstrate:-

• A basic knowledge of Clinical Negligence/PI law.
• A flexible and enthusiastic approach and the capability to work well and flourish within a team environment.
• The ability to undertake research and produce required reports
• The ability to meet deadlines and prioritise effectively
• Excellent all round communication skills including the capability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively with other colleagues internally, both within the wider team and across all practice areas.
• Proven commitment to working within a quality standard environment
• Commitment to on-going professional and personal development including self awareness and self reflection and continuous improvement

Salary is negotiable dependant upon experience.
